In the lead up to the NFL Draft, many analysts put together a big board. This their ranking of the prospects. Over the next few days, I want to take a look at various big boards and compare them to the slots in the NFL Draft where the Jets made their picks.
Today we continue by looking at the big board of Drafttek.
As a reminder, none of these will definitely prove the Jets or an analyst are right or wrong. By doing a number of these, we will be able to see whether a consensus believes the Jets got good value from their picks.
Quinnen Williams (Jets pick: 3; Drafttek’s rank: 2) +1 value
We have yet another big board where the third overall pick scores well.
Jachai Polite (Jets pick: 68; Drafttek’s rank: 73) -5 value
Some big boards have this pick as a steal. Others have it as a reach. Drafttek seems to think it was just right.
Chuma Edoga (Jets pick: 92; Drafttek’s rank: 154) -62 value
This is another pick that has been rated all over the place. This big board does not like it.
Trevon Wesco (Jets pick: 121; Drafttek’s rank: 378) -257 value
There were only 254 players selected in the 2019 NFL Draft. So if you buy into Drafttek, there should have been a full NFL Draft of the players remaining after the first 120 picks before Wesco was selected.
Blake Cashman (Jets pick: 157; Drafttek’s rank: 203) -46 value
The Cashman pick has generally received positive scores, but that is not the case here.
Blessaun Austin (Jets pick: 196; Drafttek’s rank: 419) -223 value
Some big boards project Austin. This one seems to focus on his limited college snaps.
