Sunday marked the end of the rookie mini-camp/orientation for the Jaguars and the team wrapped up the weekend by adding and subtracting from the pool of undrafted rookies they’ll be bringing along for the rest of the off-season programs.
The team announced the signings of five undrafted players brought in for try outs over the last few days. Among them were Utah offensive lineman Jordan Agasiva, a couple of defensive backs in UNLV’s Jocquez Kalili and Georgia Southern’s Joshua Moon, and tight ends Charles Jones of Tulane and Michael Colubiale out of Central Florida.
Of the five newly signed guys being brought on, Agasiva and Jones stand to potentially get some decent looks throughout the summer.
In clearing room on the roster for the newly signed players, the team also announced the release of undrafted free agents Papi White (WR, Ohio), Carson Meier (TE, Oklahoma), Marquez Sanford (DB, Murray St.), Cody Brown (DB, Arkansas St.), and Roderick Young (DT, North Texas). Brown and Young were released with “waived/injured” designations and will be placed on the team’s injured reserve list for 2019 should the clear waivers.
The Jaguars roster stands at 90 players, as they now enter the final week of Phase Two of the off-season workouts, with the veterans joining the rookie class starting on Monday.
