With rookie minicamp wrapped up over the weekend, the Seattle Seahawks have now begun their process of signing their NFL Draft picks to their respective deals.
The team announced on Monday that four players have put pen to paper and are now officially Seahawks players. They are: Safety Marquise Blair, Guard Phil Haynes, Safety Ugo Amadi and Linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven.
Blair was Seattle’s first of two second-round picks last month, as the hard-hitting former Utah Ute will look to be Earl Thomas’ successor. Haynes was drafted in the fourth-round out of Wake Forest, making him Seattle’s first pick out of that school since Aaron Curry, giving Haynes a low bar to clear in terms of outperforming his fellow Demon Deacon.
Rounding out the list of Monday’s signings are Oregon’s Amadi, who is starting out at safety but can also play slot corner, while Burr-Kirven is a local product out of the University of Washington who was the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.
The following Seahawks draft picks remain unsigned, although it’s really just a formality at this point: DE L.J. Collier, WRs D.K. Metcalf, Gary Jennings Jr, and John Ursua, LB Cody Barton, RB Travis Homer, and DT Demarcus Christmas.
