Hmm.
In case you missed it over the weekend, the Inquirer reported that Malcolm Jenkins isn’t attending the Eagles’ offseason workout program this year.
This development isn’t a huge deal in the sense that the workout program is voluntary. But the fact that Philadelphia’s defensive captain and most vocal leader on the team isn’t attending these workouts for the first time in his career is at least a little curious.
Jeff McLane suggested that Jenkins’ absence could indicate the 31-year-old safety desires a pay bump. Jenkins’ latest tweet — his first since the Inquirer’s story emerged on Saturday — doesn’t do anything to dispel the notion he might want his contract to be adjusted.
One of my favorite plays from last season. I was actually supposed to blitz! I realized no one is covering the 3rd receiver, then the ball is snapped.

For the sake of adding some context, Jenkins doesn’t normally post clips like this. You can actually [click here] to see a list of all the video tweets he’s ever posted. I can’t find another breakdown like this one from today.
So, to recap:
1) On Saturday, a report emerges that suggests Jenkins feels undervalued by the Eagles.
2) On Monday, Jenkins tweets a play that illustrates just how valuable he is.
Hmm. More than just a coincidence?
