Antonio Brown in Raiders gear gets feature spot on cover of Sports Illustrated

If you are the collecting type, you may want to pick you up a copy of this month’s Sports Illustrated. It featured Antonio Brown on the cover in full Raiders gear.

Brown takes the feature spot on the cover of SI this month titled “Season of the Switch” because it details several big names who changed teams this offseason.

Background on the cover are Brown’s former teammate LeVeon Bell and fellow All Pro receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Like Brown, Beckham was traded this offseason. The 31-year-old Brown was had for 3rd and 5th round picks. The Browns sent a first round pick, third round pick, and safety Jabrill Peppers to New York for the 26-year-old Beckham and his hefty contract.

Bell held out all of last season and signed a huge contract with the Jets. In the fallout, the Jets cut Isaiah Crowell, who the Raiders then signed, but who would be lost to an Achilles injury during offseason workouts.

Also featured on the cover at the top in the fantasy football section is Raiders first round rookie running back Josh Jacobs. He is going fairly high in most fantasy drafts (yes, those are already happening) despite an uncertainty he can be a feature back and the likelihood he will share carries with Doug Martin and/or another back like Jalen Richard or Chris Warren III.
