The Jets and running back Bilal Powell have agreed to terms on a deal that brings the veteran back to the team.
We’ve agreed to terms with RB Bilal Powell.

A fourth round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Powell is the team’s longest tenured player.
After suffering a neck injury that ended his 2018 campaign, it seemed like his time with the team had ended. However, Powell was cleared to continue his career a few months back. With the Jets in need of some extra depth in their backfield behind Le’Veon Bell, he was a natural fit. The team had him in for a workout on Friday, and it presumably went well since he was signed just hours later.
Powell has only played with the Jets in his career. During his career he has run for 3,446 yards on 791 carries (4.4 average) with 15 touchdowns. He also has 204 career receptions for 1,567 yards and 5 touchdowns.
