San Francisco 49ers links for Friday June 13, 2019
Good morning 49ers fans. There will be no more 49ers news for the next six weeks. No new injuries, no arrests, and no date nights with porn stars. Nope, we are going to have to continue to argue about mundane things like what position Jalen Hurd will play. All of our players will also be working hard during that time in order to come into camp physically and mentally ready to go to work. This is it! (I hope)
This year is going to be time for the 49ers to put up or shut up. We have used youth and injuries as excuses for way too long, this is John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan’s third season. They have had three years to build this roster now it is time to sink or swim.
I thought last season may have set the team back a year due to all of the injuries but it really should not be an excuse for this year because all those players are back and it is time to get the show on the road. Add in this year’s free agents and draft picks and there simply is no room for excuses, either Shanahan and Lynch have what it takes to build a winning team or they don’t. I am not saying we need to go to the Super Bowl this season or that the team is a finished product, I am merely saying it is time for our team to look like a team with a “winning culture”.
