The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed fourth-year veteran wide receiver Tre McBride and rookie defensive tackle Kalani Vakameilalo. To make room on the roster, the team waived linebacker Nick DeLuca and long snapper Christian Kuntz.
Both McBride and Vakameilalo participated in this week’s veteran mandatory minicamp as tryout players.
McBride has played in 17 career games with stints with the Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears since being drafted in the seventh round (245th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He posted career-high numbers in 2017 with the Bears when he had eight receptions for 144 yards.
Vakameilalo played in 46 games at Oregon State, where he finished with 75 tackles, including 13.5 for loss, and six sacks, three passes defensed, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two quarterback hurries.
The Jaguars currently have 90 players on their offseason roster.
