Don’t expect any long-term assurances from Larry Fitzgerald on his NFL future. The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver shied away from the chatter about his continued playing career after former Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer suggested Fitzgerald could play three more seasons. “Oh, man, I don’t know about that. I just take it one day at a time,” Fitzgerald said, via Scott Bordow of The Athletic. Fitzgerald, 35, has spent the past few seasons going year-to-year with Arizona, and that looks to continue. It doesn’t help that things have been rough for the Cardinals over the past few seasons, and the team has used back-to-back first-round picks on franchise quarterbacks. Fitzgerald will be linking up with a new player in QB Kyler Murray, but he’s on board with it. Whether he sticks around for 2020 remains to be seen, and we probably won’t know until next season is over.
