There is reportedly already a front-runner for the vacant Houston Texans general manager position, and it’s someone with ties to coach Bill O’Brien. According to Mark Berman of FOX 26, New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio is regarded as the leading candidate for the Texans’ job, even though Houston is continuing to interview candidates. Caserio had been named as a potential Texans target early on in the process. He has been the Patriots' director of player personnel since 2008 and served as their director of pro personnel prior to that. In both roles, his tenure overlapped with that of O’Brien, who served on the New England coaching staff from 2007 through 2011.
