Alfred Morris expected to arrive at Cowboys camp Tuesday

Alfred Morris is getting the reunion he wanted and seems to be excited about it. The free agent running back agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys on Monday. NFL Media’s Jane Slater says she was told Morris will be in Oxnard, California  for training camp on Tuesday. Some speculated that the Morris addition could spell some bad news about Ezekiel Elliott’s status, but Slater was told that is not really the case. Elliott is seeking a new contract and does not need to report until Aug. 6 in order to earn a year of credit toward unrestricted free agency. Of course, as Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio pointed out, Elliott would be justified in prioritizing a new deal ahead of a year of credit toward free agency. The two-time rushing champion is reportedly in Mexico during his holdout. As for Morris, 30, he spent 2012-2015 with Washington, making two Pro Bowls. He played 28 games for the Cowboys over the following two seasons. He averaged 3.9 yards per carry in 12 games with the 49ers last year.
