We’re only a few days into training camp and have already seen some pretty big injury scares around the NFL. The good news here is that most of these injuries have proven to be minor. That’s indeed the case with Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans, who was carted off the practice field Tuesday. An update indicates that Evans was suffering through nothing more than cramps. Any time a player is carted off the field and showing obvious signs of pain, it has to be a concern. No one want to see serious injuries during camp or the preseason. That’s especially true for a Bucs squad reliving on Evans to be Jameis Winston’s top target under first-year head coach Bruce Arians. Evans, 25, put up 86 receptions for 1,524 yards and eight touchdowns in 2018 — the fifth consecutive time he’s put up 1,000-plus yards to start his career.
