Donald becomes the sixth member to make the list in 2019:
- S Eric Weddle: ranked #100
- LT Andrew Whitworth: ranked #91
- WR Robert Woods: ranked #76
- QB Jared Goff: ranked #32
- RB Todd Gurley: ranked #5
Prior to this ranking, Donald was ranked 92nd in 2015, 14th in 2016, 15th in 2017, and 7th in 2018:
There isn’t much to say about Donald that hasn’t already been said. The man is a five-time pro bowler, four-time First-Team All-Pro, and back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY), one of which came in 2018. Donald eclipsed every bar he set for himself with a utterly dominant season that seen him notch 20.5 sacks (a new single-season record among defensive tackles), as well as 25 tackles-for-loss.
The next step for Donald isn’t really anything we’ve ever seen before, though he could be the first defender in NFL history to win three consecutive DPOY awards. Donald is only 28 sacks away from the most recorded sacks in Rams history, meaning another dominant season will likely allow him to break the record in only two seasons.
Donald earned his spot on this list with his absolutely earth-shattering 2018 season.
