JPP with some much deserved props.
Despite the the struggles across the Buccaneers’ defense last season, there was some good within it.
Jason Pierre-Paul was voted as the one of the Top 100 players in the NFL by his peers for 2018. Pierre-Paul came in at No. 65.
The veteran defensive tackle was all over the field for Tampa Bay and was arguably the most productive players on the defensive side of the ball. He was the first Bucs player to record double-digit sacks since 2005 with 12.5 and also recorded 20 quarterback hits. Pierre-Paul was a force behind the line of scrimmage as well as he registered 16 tackles for loss.
The Bucs hope to have him and his production back for 2019 at some point as his recovers from a neck injury he suffered in a car accident back in May. The team had officially placed him on the non-football injury list Wednesday.
