NFL Top 100: Packers WR Davante Adams comes in at No. 35

NFL: Green Bay Packers at New York Jets Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

Packers Pro Bowl wideout Davante Adams makes his second consecutive appearance on NFL Network’s list of the top 100 players.

Another member of the Green Bay Packers has officially made NFL Networks’ list of the top 100 players. One day after left tackle David Bakhtiari made his appearance on the countdown, Packers Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams took his turn, coming in at No. 35.

Adams has previously made the cut for the top 100, coming in at No. 45 on last year’s iteration of the list. Adams earned his first Pro Bowl nod that season as well.

Of course, Adams’ 2017 accomplishments pale in comparison to the season he put together last year. Adams hauled in 111 passes for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns, highest among all Packers receivers and each a career-best mark for the receiver. Adams also came within one catch of tying the franchise record for single-season receptions held by Sterling Sharpe.

In addition to his production, Adams continued to establish himself as a playmaker in the clutch. In the Packers’ final road game of the season, the wideout hauled in a walk-off touchdown in overtime. That score came in at No. 4 in Acme Packing Company’s countdown of the Packers’ top plays from 2018.

NFL Network has yet to reveal the top 30 players on its list. The Packers should have at least one more member make the cut as Aaron Rodgers has appeared on every edition of the top 100 since it began in 2011.
