Odell Beckham Jr. at No. 23 on NFL’s top 100 players list for 2019

NFL: Cleveland Browns-Training Camp Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Wide receiver moves closer to the Top 10 status he enjoyed in 2017 and 2016.

The Cleveland Browns transformed their offense with the trade in March for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

The talented veteran gives second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield one of the true No. 1 wide receivers in the NFL and will help elevate the offense into one of the league’s best.

Beckham spent the previous five seasons with the New York Giants, and while an injury limited him to 12 games in 2018, he still has landed at No. 23 on NFL.com’s list of the 100 best players for 2019:

Health thrusts OBJ back into the top 25 this season. He only played four games in 2017, so the players penalized Odell and threw him to the bottom quarter of the Top 100. He was in the top-10 both years prior, and if he works with Baker Mayfield as well as most anticipate, he could get back there next season. 2018 wasn’t the best for Beckham, but he eclipsed 1,000 yards for the fourth time in his career and still had 77 catches despite only playing 12 games. Odell is a prime candidate to reemerge in 2019. Playing alongside his college teammate and good friend Jarvis Landry, the Browns have two of the more explosive wideouts in football.

Beckham is the fourth member of the Browns to make the list, joining wide receiver Jarvis Landry (No. 84), Mayfield (No. 50) and defensive end Myles Garrett (No. 49).
