Second time is the charm.
The Arizona Cardinals have officially signed Michael Crabtree to a one-year contract.
Terms of the contract were not immediately disclosed.
Crabtree is a 10-year NFL veteran who is coming off a season with 54 catch 607 yard and three touchdowns.
Crabtree last posted big numbers in 2016, when with the Oakland Raiders Crabtree posted 89 catch 1003 yards and eight touchdowns.
Crabtree (32) for his career has 633 catches and 7,477 yards and 54 touchdowns. He was drafted 10th overall by the San Francisco 49ers in 2009.
In his career he has two seasons with over 1,000 yards, 2016 and back in 2012.
Crabtree’s presence will obviously help within the young wide receiver corps, but it continues to be an interesting route to take in team building.
We’ll see how this all plays out over the next couple weeks in terms of rotations and of course over the season.
Maybe the Cardinals desperately need a third or fourth wide receiver they have more faith in?
Interesting, interesting.
