It’s brutal for a player legitimately vying for a roster spot this year.
The Falcons tight end situation is flexible with the recent trade of Eric Saubert. Jaeden Graham has heavily figured in the race for that third tight end spot and was getting a lot of run with the first team in the “dress rehearsal” against Washington.
Unfortunately, his night is now over with an apparent knee injury.

Graham was getting looks at fullback and tight end and made a nice catch to convert a key third down early in the game. He’s impressed in camp and many believe he was one of the reasons the Falcons felt comfortable trading Eric Saubert to the Patriots two weeks ago.
We don’t know the extent of the injury at this point, but it’s definitely something we’ll be monitoring. We hope it’s a minor injury, as Graham has a legitimate chance of making the 53-man roster this season. Let’s hope he’s ready to go for the regular season.
