It’s the first day of August and we are blessed with a reasonably close approximation of professional gridiron football! Yes, this is the start of the 2019 NFL preseason.
This year’s edition of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game features the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons. The two HOFers for Denver are Champ Bailey and the late Pat Bowlen, while the Atlanta Falcons have Tony Gonzalez. If you really want to push things, Ty Law ended his career in Denver, and he’s in the Hall of Fame class.
Here are the details on watching Thursday’s preseason opener:
How to watch Hall of Fame Game
Who: Denver Broncos vs. Atlanta Falcons
Time: Thursday, Aug. 1, 5 PM PT
Place: Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, Canton, Ohio
TV: NBC
Announcers: Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Michele Tafoya (sideline reporter)
Online: FuboTV; NFL GamePass; NBC Sports
SB Nation Blogs: Mile High Report | The Falcoholic
Current odds have the Broncos as a 2.5 point favorite, with the over/under at 34. This is important info for absolute degenerates willing to bet on preseason football.
Vic Fangio makes his head coaching debut, as he looks to make Denver relevant again. Former Seattle Seahawks DC Dan Quinn is in his fifth year as Atlanta’s head coach, and he wants to rebound from a disappointing 7-9 campaign. If he doesn’t... he might be in some trouble.
Chat away! Football!!!!
