It’s our first Open Thread of the season!
Welcome to the 2019 NFL season, y’all!
If you’re new to the Pride of Detroit family, welcome! I hope you stay a while. If you’re a POD veteran, thanks for joining us for another year, and hopefully this will finally be the special season we’ve all been craving for decades.
For every Thursday, Sunday and Monday night game—regardless of whether the Detroit Lions are playing or not—we hold an open thread. For many of us, we’re not just a fan of the Lions, we’re a fan of football. So this open thread serves as an opportunity to chat with our POD family while we watch some football together.
Tonight, it’s the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons who will kick off the 2019 preseason at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. It’s been a long six months since any NFL team has taken the field, so if you’re like me, you’re itching for some football, even if it’s not all the relevant to the Lions.
