If reports are correct, Kemp’s third NFL season could be over before it begins.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marcus Kemp left the team’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a knee injury. Kemp exited the game on a cart, as first reported by old friend BJ Kissel of Chiefs dot com on the game’s KCTV5 telecast.
Friend-of-the-site Matt Derrick reports Kemp’s injury is believe to be an “ACL” issue.
Marcus Kemp left the game with a knee injury, believed to be an ACL injury I'm told. Will have an MRI tomorrow to confirm. He has been having a tremendous camp, would be a tough blow for him and the Chiefs.

Derrick also reports Kemp will have an MRI tomorrow to confirm.
If this info is out there now, pretty sure it's legit. ACL is a definitive diagnosis. Easy to tell.@ArrowheadPride https://t.co/kUiEPMtB5k

If the injury is as bad as reported, it’s a terrible break for the Chiefs, especially since Kemp, in addition to being a key special teamer for Dave Toub’s units, had been having a strong training camp when it came to offense.

Pending reports and/or potential trade, that will be your six #Chiefs receivers.
Kemp finished third on the Chiefs in special-teams snaps in 2018. Only tight end Demetrius Harris, who is no longer with the team and fullback Anthony Sherman, had more snaps.
Kemp had a 27-yard catch against the Steelers before having to leave due to the injury.
