Camp battles are heating up, and fans are waiting anxiously for the next game
Merry Tuesday, everyone!
Wow, another glorious Monday is gone, and we have to wait another 6 days for the next one. At least we have some Vikings things to talk about to get us through. I’m excited to see the good guys take the field again. In the second preseason game, we’ll likely see the first team for the first quarter, and then be replaced by the second stringers early in the second quarter. The second string will be fun to watch, there are some unexpected battles at some positions, and it will be interesting to see how they shake out.

CBS Sports has insider notes on the latest news swirling in the NFL.
According to the Sporting News, the Redskins are telling other teams that they are NOT moving Trent Williams. That seems silly, as they would get a good return if they were to trade him, and are likely to get nothing if they don’t. He may decide to show up to play for them this year, but he claims he will not.
The Sporting News also reported that Dak Prescott turned down a $30 million/year offer from the Cowboys. No exact numbers were mentioned, but rumors have it that the QB expects around $34 or $35 million annually. The Cowboys also have Ezekiel Elliot’s contract to settle, and Amari Cooper will also be a free agent after this year.
