Get ready for some Patriots content.
New England Patriots fans can consider themselves lucky — and not just because their team is coming off its sixth Super Bowl title in the last eighteen years. Recently, the organization and its members have also granted considerable access to them. From Bill Belichick’s A Football Life, which can already be seen as a distant memory, to documentaries made by/about both Tom Brady and Julian Edelman over the last two years.
Two new shows following a familiar script are being added next week: NFL Films’ Do Your Job Part III: Bill Belichick and the 2018 Patriots and America’s Game: 2018 Patriots will both premiere on September 4, with the double-header getting kicked off at 8:00 p.m. ET on NFL Network. Needless to say that both documentaries will be must-see television not just for Patriots fans, but followers of football in general. After all, they will be give tremendous insight into the league’s premiere franchise.
The third episode of Do Your Job will take a look at New England’s coaching and front office staff and how it approached the 2018 season and its biggest challenges — just like it did after the team’s titles in 2015 and 2017. The show will take an in-depth look at the club’s defensive efforts in the Super Bowl and the AFC Championship Game, and also break down the team’s successful ground game in the playoffs, among other topics.
America's Game, meanwhile, will be more personal as it is told exclusively through the eyes of the players — four, to be exact, which is a deviation from the three-player-format normally used by the show: Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman will be interviewed (for a record third time), as will be since-retired tight end Rob Gronkowski and defensive backs/twin brothers Devin McCourty and Jason McCourty.
