The first half of their preseason game went in all the right directions for the Dallas Cowboys, although something didn’t quite go in the right direction for Alfred Morris.
Late in the half when the Cowboys were trying to score Morris found himself trying a run up the middle (somewhere Scott Linehan is smiling). After quickly noticing that there was a big pile that he likely wouldn’t have gotten through, Morris decided to head west. That was very smart!

The Cowboys have already gotten a lot of production out of their top running back this preseason (we’re talking just about preseason, nobody panic) in Tony Pollard. Seeing Morris score feels like a cherry on top of it all.
Obviously this is his second tenure with the Cowboys. During his first he wore the number 46 and on this one he’s rocking number 23. This was his first score in the new digits.
