Hmmmm.
Things got off to a questionable start for second-year tight end Dallas Goedert ahead of the Week 2 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Goedert was seen going back into the Eagles locker room during warmups.

He did end up coming out with the team dressed and with his helmet on, but reports suggest that all might not be well with the tight end. First, noting he wasn’t running with the rest of his teammates, and second that he was chatting with head coach Doug Pederson.
Dallas Goedert came out with the team. Wasn't running. (Everyone else was.)

What does this mean? We don’t really know yet. And won’t know until at least the first offensive series.
Of note, the Eagles were going into this game with only two active tight ends, Goedert and Zach Ertz, and relying on Andre Dillard to act as a third TE should scheme require. The team released Alex Ellis off the roster before re-signing him to the practice squad earlier in the week.
Stay tuned for more updates.
