The final game of Week 2 is here.
For New England Patriots, Week 2 of the regular season is already in the books — the team blew out the Miami Dolphins 43-0 on Sunday. Tonight’s primetime game is therefore a relaxing affair, and a chance to scout two teams that are on the schedule later this year. So what does this mean for the Patriots? And who should they root for? Let’s find out:
Cleveland Browns (0-1) at New York Jets (0-1)
When: 8:15 p.m. ET
Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford NJ
Television: ESPN
Live streaming: fuboTV (sign up here)
Patriots rooting guide: Given that the Patriots have both the Browns and Jets on their schedule, the game has little actual impact on strength of schedule and strength of victory. And with no 2020 draft picks tied to the two teams’ finish in the standings — wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was traded to New York for a sixth-rounder in 2021 — it also does not matter. Therefore, the best thing for Patriots fans to do is to root against the Jets. Because, of course.
