A Broncos win over the Jaguars would bring reprieve (at least for a week) for the two-year and three-game ailment.
Good morning, Broncos Country!
There are a slew of ways to describe the last two years.
The first three games of the 2019 season is no different for the Denver Broncos. And it’s not the just the players, coaches and organization — Broncos Country is involved in this as well.
At least for me, it’s like a never-ending hangover. As I said on my Broncos Blast segment on ESPN 1600 in Denver, just when you think you’re in the clear and it’s over, the hangover smacks you all over again. You’re unsure if you should go to bed and lie down or head to the toilet.
Is Sunday finally the day the Broncos end the hangover?
On the MHR Radio Podcast (Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Spotify), both Adam Malnati and I think we all will get a reprieve, at least for a week. Before the happens, we hope Denver’s defense gets a sack and turnover. If not, as Adam joked, the city of Denver may implode.
Based on his 12-second news conference this week, I also think Von Miller has a huge game. As Les Shapiro pointed out, Aaron Donald started the 2018 season with zero sacks and finished with 20. I’m with Les in thinking Miller will have a similar breakout in the fourth game of the season to Donald, but that doesn’t mean Miller finishes with 20 sacks (it would be nice, though).
Here’s hoping Sunday is finally cure for the Broncos’ never-ending hangover.
