Here is your Wednesday injury report for the Broncos and the Chargers.
The Broncos returned to the practice field on Wednesday to begin their preparations for their week five match up against their division rival, Los Angeles Chargers. The Broncos received some positive news on their injury front and could see both of their big free agent signings return to the field this Sunday.
#Broncos' Wednesday injury report:
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) October 2, 2019
DNP: Bryce Callahan (foot), Josey Jewell (hamstring)
Limited: Kareem Jackson (hamstring), Ja'Wuan James (knee), Ron Leary (not injury related), Emmanuel Sanders (quad), Derek Wolfe (ankle)
Full: Duke Dawson (ankle), Joe Jones (triceps)
After suffering an injury during the Broncos week one loss to the Oakland Raiders, tackle Ja’Wuan James returned to the practice field for the first time. It was on a limited basis, but a good sign nonetheless for the Broncos prized free agency addition.
His status for Sunday’s game remains up in the air, so it will be one to monitor going forward. Backup Elijah Wilkinson has played in place of James and has had his ups and downs at the spot. The return of James would add some stability to the Broncos offensive line.
Also returning to practice was defensive back Kareem Jackson. He missed last weeks game against the Jaguars with a hamstring injury but he did return to the practice field for today’s practice. Again, it was on a limited basis so his status will be monitored throughout the week, but a positive sign for the veteran defensive back.
