The New York Jets head down south to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars today in steamy Jacksonville, Florida. The game starts at 1:00 pm EDT. The weather in Jacksonville will be sultry and stormy. Skies will be cloudy throughout the game, with thunderstorms likely. Winds will be moderate at 10 to 15 mph out of the southwest, with higher gusts possible during any thunderstorms that may occur. Temperatures will be very warm, in the mid 80s throughout the game. Humidity will be uncomfortably high, in the mid 70s throughout the game, making it feel like the temperatures are in the low 90s. There will be a 40% chance of thunderstorms to start the game, rising to a 65% chance as the game progresses. Any thunderstorms could result in heavy downpours, making for a miserable experience for players and fans alike. Any thunderstorms that roll through may also result in game delays at some point during the game, as the NFL will interrupt games in which lightning strikes pose a threat. All in all the weather in Jacksonville will be less than ideal for a football game, with the heat, humidity, possible downpours, and possible lightning strikes adding up to a good day to stay home and watch the game on television.
For fans viewing the game at home, temperatures will be around 70, with no wind, comfortable humidity and a near zero percent chance of showers.
