One team will finish this game atop the NFC East.
Tonight’s edition of Sunday Night Football features two NFC East teams duking it out for the top spot in the division. The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles enter tonight’s game tied at 3-3, and both teams have concerns if they want to be Super Bowl contenders.
The Cowboys are losers of three straight after a hot start to the season. Their wins came against the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and Miami Dolphins, all of whom are struggling teams. Their losses, meanwhile, have come against two threats in the NFC, the Saints and Packers, and surprisingly the New York Jets. Their run game remains their biggest asset, with Ezekiel Elliott having scored a touchdown in all but one game.
The Eagles are coming into this game with a more up-and-down season. Unlike the Cowboys, they were able to triumph over the Packers and Jets, though they fell at the hands of the Falcons, Lions, and Vikings. Carson Wentz has been one of the better quarterbacks in the league thus far, but neither Jordan Howard nor Miles Sanders have been consistent ground threats.
