Thursday Night Football open thread: Giants at Patriots

Come watch Thursday Night Football with us.

The only team that has seemed to be able to crack the New England Patriots is the New York Giants. Twice now, the Giants have left a lasting stain on the Patriots dynasty with two notable Super Bowl losses.

And while we should all thank the Giants for being the hero this league needs, our hero has remained dormant for the last eight years. It’s almost been a decade since the Giants last took down the Patriots, and New England’s reign of terror has persisted. Since that game, they’ve appeared in four Super Bowl and won three.

Is this the year our great heroes return to slay the dragon? Eh... probably not.

While Daniel Jones has ushered a new promising era in New York, the Patriots are just out here embarrassing teams. Their average margin of victory is well into the double digits, and they might as well claim themselves to be AFC East champions for the 11th straight week.

This week, the Giants won’t have Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard or Evan Engram, so good luck scoring against this epic Patriots pass defense, Golden Tate.

I miss David Tyree.

Here’s how to watch.
