The Patriots are 17-point favorites.
All summer in the football community, you hear about the value of running backs. We should know all about that, as the 49ers have invested heavily in the position, despite their best ball carrier being an undrafted free agent. In the case of the New York Giants, their offense hasn’t missed a beat when Saquon Barkley has been out. That’s because rookie quarterback Daniel Jones has shown some life. He’s struggled, and likely will tonight against the best defense in the NFL, but anyone is a step up from Eli Manning.
The Patriots come into this game as a 17-point favorite, and that still probably isn’t enough. I haven’t watched much of the Giants because I value my time, but it seems like every time they’re being shown on TV, the defense is giving up a big play. If New York was at full strength, this still probably isn’t a close game. With all that said, watch the Giants win because football is unpredictable. Let’s root for a close game.
