Week 16 against the Rams has an official time as well
The NFL announced that the San Francisco 49ers Week 12 matchup against the Green Bay Packers had been moved from a 1:25 p.m. PT kickoff to a primetime game. Now we’ll see two of the top teams in the conference face off under the lights on Sunday night football. The original game between the Seahawks and Eagles was flexed out of the primetime slot.
Additionally, the Week 16 matchup against the Rams now has a time as well. That’ll be another primetime game with a Saturday kickoff set for 5:15 p.m. PT on December 21. If you thought the 49ers were getting national love, the Rams would now be on primetime four of the next six weeks. Puke.
A reason for the 49ers primetime slots? People want to watch this team. The Monday night game against the Seahawks drew the biggest audience of the season, with 16 million viewers. It’ll be a fun second half of the season.
