It is hopefully the medical staff being overly cautious, but Auden Tate took a rough hit.
Bengals wide receiver Auden Tate made one of the biggest plays for the Bengals offense when he caught a first down pass on third-and-19 yards, which kept their comeback bid alive vs. the Raiders.
Unfortunately, as Tate was going to the ground, his head got hit pretty hard and turned in an uncomfortable looking fashion.
Tate instantly didn’t look okay as he was slow to move after making the play. Giovani Bernard instantly signaled for the medical staff. The announcers noted that during the commercial break that Tate did make a couple of attempts to get up, which gives a good indication that it isn’t anything serious enough to have an impact on his ability to move his limbs.
Whether Tate suffered a concussion or not is still on the table. Hopefully it is just an instance of the medical staff being overly cautious though.
Tate had four catches for 56 yards on the afternoon. He led the Bengals in catches and yards before exiting.
