Be thankful for Buffalo.
The Dallas Cowboys dropping to 6-6 after getting blown out by the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving? Dak Prescott committing three turnovers? You really do hate to see it!

Jokes aside, the Philadelphia Eagles are thankful for this outcome. The 5-6 Eagles can now draw level with the Cowboys by beating the Miami Dolphins this Sunday.
The Cowboys currently still have a head-to-head tie-breaker over the Eagles, of course, since Dallas beat Philly back in Week 7. But there’s still time for that to change since these two division rivals will face off again in Week 16. A look at their remaining schedules:
EAGLES’ LAST FIVE GAMES
Week 13 - at Miami Dolphins (2-9)
Week 14 - vs. New York Giants (2-9)
Week 15 - at Washington (2-9)
Week 16 - vs. Dallas Cowboys (6-6)
Week 17 - at New York Giants (2-9)
COWBOYS’ LAST FOUR GAMES
Week 14 - at Chicago Bears (6-6)
Week 15 - vs. Los Angeles Rams (6-5)
Week 16 - at Philadelphia Eagles (5-6)
Week 17 - vs. Washington (2-9)
The Eagles were already in position to clinch the NFC East by winning the remainder of their games. The Cowboys’ loss to the Bills gives Philly a little more margin for error, though. The Eagles can gain even more if Dallas drops another game (or two).
As it’s been said for some time now, the division will likely be settled when the Eagles host the Cowboys later this season. It’s hard to feel amazing about the Birds given how offensively inept they’ve looked lately but maybe they can turn things around and actually make a run.
Here’s hoping, anyway.
