Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is one of a kind. San Francisco 49ers backup C.J. Beathard found that out the hard way this week. Richard Sherman shared with reporters Friday that Beathard strained his back trying to imitate Wilson and prepare the 49ers defense for the challenge of facing him. Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports shared that Sherman laughed about the injury, noting it’s not funny because he was hurt but that it’s just not his role. Given the way Wilson magically evades pressure on a regular basis, the 49ers may have been better served having a running back out there imitating the Seahawks quarterback. These two teams will square off on Monday night. It’s going to be fascinating to see one of the league’s elite offenses — led by the leading MVP candidate right now — go against arguably the league’s best defense.
