Well, would you look at that?
After taking a pretty significant plunge. . .again. . .last week, our FanPulse data for this week shows that the confidence of Minnesota Vikings fans is back to a more normal and sane level.
I mean, it’s not as high as it’s been, but it’s getting there.
According to our poll this week, 71% of Vikings’ fans are now expressing confidence in the direction of the team. That’s just a few points below where it was before the loss to Kansas City, when it was at 74%. Like I said, it’s getting there.
We had a couple of “national” questions this week as well, with one of them including our favorite team. Readers across the whole network of SB Nation NFL blogs were asked to pick the most exciting game left in the 2019 NFL season from a list and. . .well, the Vikings didn’t fare as well as we might like.
The Week 16 clash between the Vikings and the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football placed a pretty distant fourth out of the five options presented. I mean, it’s hard to argue with the three games that wound up above ours, I guess.
Also. . .and keep in mind, this poll took place before Thursday’s battle royale in Cleveland. . .which of a group of four teams is the most likely to make the playoffs. The winner is one that we might not have considered not too long ago.
Yes, the Oakland Raiders. . .the same Oakland Raiders that the Vikings did a pretty good number on at U.S. Bank Stadium back in Week 3. . .were the narrow winners of the poll. The Steelers’ chances definitely took a hit with their loss on Thursday night, and there aren’t a lot of people that have faith in the Rams and Panthers at this point. Given that both of those teams are competing with the Vikings for a wild card spot as things stand right now, here’s hoping that lack of faith is justified.
Those are your FanPulse results for this week, ladies and gentlemen!
