Should the NFL and its broadcast partners be more careful about what they air from mic’d up players? Dak Prescott thinks so. The question has been discussed ever since the public airing of Jets quarterback Sam Darnold’s “seeing ghosts” comment against the New England Patriots. Prescott weighed in Friday, saying criticism of Darnold is “super unfair” and he thinks players who say something “bad” should be protected. It may seem silly, but ESPN’s decision to air Darnold’s comments has really enraged some within the league. One team’s coach is urging players to avoid wearing mics for their Monday night broadcast. Prescott seems to feel similarly about the situation.
