The Titans will be without LeShaun Sims, but they got some good news elsewhere on the injury front today.
Titans fans can breathe a sigh of relief today as star running back Derrick Henry was a full participant in Friday’s practice and is reportedly “good to go” for Sunday’s AFC South battle with the Colts after being limited with a hamstring issue earlier in the week. This isn’t necessarily a surprise — it would have been very strange for him to be practicing, even in a limited capacity, if he had a hamstring injury that was serious enough to threaten his availability — but it’s good to see confirmation.
News wasn’t as good for cornerback LeShaun Sims. He was officially ruled out for this game with an ankle injury that has kept him out of practice all week.

I would expect Tye Smith to likely get the first crack at the third cornerback duties with Joshua Kalu and Kareem Orr as the other potential options. Smith has good length and plays a very physical brand of corner which actually could be good for this matchup. The Titans will need their corners to tackle well against the Colts potent run game and Smith excels in that facet of the job.
The Titans got some good news with outside linebacker Reggie Gilbert returning to practice today after missing Wednesday and Thursday’s work. He appears to be good to go and will likely get the start opposite Harold Landry. It will be interesting to see which of Gilbert, Sharif Finch, Kamalei Correa, and Derick Roberson gets to pick up the majority of Cameron Wake’s third down rush role.
On the Colts side, Marlon Mack and T.Y. Hilton were officially declared out as expected and four other players were listed as questionable: tight end Mo Alie-Cox, receiver Parris Campbell, safety Khari Willis, and cornerback Rock Ya-Sin. We will find out Sunday how many of these guys are able to get on the field for this game. Guard Quenton Nelson appears to be good to go after missing Thursday’s practice with a hip injury.
The Titans are the slightly healthier team coming into this one. They’re without Malcolm Butler, Cameron Wake, Delanie Walker, and LeShaun Sims, but the Colts missing Mack, Hilton, Ebron, and Devin Funchess are probably a little more impactful losses. Despite the injuries, the Colts will be well coached and fired up for a game that they know they have to win if they want a shot at the AFC South crown. The Titans will need to bring their A-game to come away with a W in Indy.
