Falcons honor TAPS families

Honoring those who served and their families as an organization.

The Atlanta Falcons hosted 94 families through a partnership with TAPS this weekend.

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) offers compassionate care to all those grieving the loss of a loved one who died while serving in the Armed Forces or as a result of his or her service.

The families are being honored during the Salute to Service Weekend, November 22-25, 2019, where they were were meeting the organization with the names of their fallen heroes’ jerseys in the Falcons’ locker room and had the opportunity to meet with players.

On Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Falcons players will wear the initials of a fallen hero on their helmets. The Falcons organization has a strong commitment to honoring those who serve our country, as well as their families back home. A member of the Atlanta Falcons organization has been the recipient of the prestigious NFL Salute to Service award Ben Garland (2018), Andre Roberts (2017) and Dan Quinn (2016).

Falcons CEO Steve Cannon was recently selected as the Falcons’ nominee for the 2019 NFL Salute to Service award, which you can read about here.
