Former Arizona Cardinals first round pick Robert Nkemdiche released by Miami Dolphins

NFL: Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Well, at least that is one player that moved on that we do not have to worry about rounding into form when they leave the Arizona Cardinals.

The Miami Dolphins have released former Arizona Cardinals first round pick Robert Nkemdiche.

He had only been active for a couple of weeks, but that was all the Dolphins needed to see to know they were ready to move on.

This is from the the SB Nation site for the Miami Dolphins, Phinsider:

"Nkemdiche is a former first-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2016, but he was never able to live up to his potential and the team waived him in July with a failed physical designation, in part due to recovery from knee surgery during the 2018 season. Miami signed him to a one-year contract and placed him on the Physically Unable to Perform list in August, where he remained until he was activated late in October. He appeared in two games for the Dolphins this season."

That’s it, that’s the story on Nkemdiche in Miami.

He played 18 snaps in two games, 15 in their Monday Night loss to the Steelers, and only three snaps in their first win of 2019 over the Jets.

That lead to today.

We’ll keep an eye if he catches on anywhere else, but it is interesting to see that he has not responded to a new and different team and coaching staff.
