Let’s watch the 49ers next opponent together.
The Baltimore Ravens are on the road against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night football. The Ravens are 3.5 point favorites over the Rams, with the total sitting at 49. So, Vegas is expecting a Ravens win 26-23. Everyone thinks Baltimore is going to do whatever they want, but I think the Rams matchup well against Baltimore, and they will provide a blueprint for San Francisco next week.
Baltimore is one of the more efficient offenses in the league, but their interior offensive line is shaky. The one area they’ve struggled is with athletic defensive tackles. The Rams have this one guy that could give the Ravens line problems. Not just Aaron Donald, but Michael Brockers and even Joseph-Day can hurt Baltimore as well. It’ll be Baltimore’s top-rated rushing attack against the Rams third-ranked run defense, per DVOA.
One of my friends told me this game would rival the Panthers/Broncos Super Bowl, where Denver loads the box, has the athletes to stop the run and blanked the receivers on the perimeter. Baltimore is young on the outside, and I’m buying the argument. Los Angeles also gets Brandin Cooks back.
This should be an interesting game. I bet the Rams to cover, but I have as much faith in Jared Goff as the 49ers staff had in Skule on Sunday night. Who do you think wins this one?
