The last undefeated team in the NFL faces a huge divisional matchup tonight to wrap up week 10.
In 13 days, the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will face one another in a game that could decide a first-round bye or home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs. But before that happens, the Niners play two more games, while the Packers will have the benefit of a bye week.
The first of those 49ers games takes place tonight on Monday Night Football, as they host the 7-2 Seattle Seahawks in the first of two meetings between these teams. This is arguably San Francisco’s toughest game yet, as they have played just three teams with winning records so far this season, none of which are better than 5-4.
That will change down the stretch, as they have a very difficult schedule over the final six games. San Francisco has a brutal three-week stretch from weeks 12 to 14, as they play host to the Packers before traveling in back-to-back weeks to play the Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints. They then finish the season on the road at Seattle in week 17.
Meanwhile, thanks to those two head-to-head matchups, Seattle can still win the division if they take care of business tonight, in the finale, and in the weeks in between. They will join the Packers on a bye in week 11, before heading to Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Carolina and hosting the Vikings in their next four contests.
Tune in tonight to see how tonight’s game goes and whether the 49ers lose their first game or move to 9-0 on the season.
