The two teams meet for the first time in four years with playoff position on the line.
Last season, the Los Angeles Rams were the darling of the NFC. Sean McVay helped lead his team to the Super Bowl, but once there his offense fell apart. In 2019, the Rams have taken a tumble, sitting on the edge of the top ten in points per game while being on the outside looking in at the NFC playoff picture.
The 6-4 Rams now need a big resurgence in order to find their way into the postseason. Sitting 2.5 games back of the Seahawks and 3.5 back of the 49ers in the division, those hopes are all but gone; their best shot would be to track down either the Vikings or Packers for a final Wild Card spot. However, that must start with a win tonight over the Baltimore Ravens, whose offense is this year’s hottest ticket.
Lamar Jackson is playing at an MVP level this season, with a passer rating over 106 and 781 rushing yards through ten games. He and Mark Ingram are both on pace to eclipse 1,000 yards on the ground, and the Ravens lead the league in scoring despite not having an established number one receiver. However, they sit a game back of the Patriots in the AFC, having handed New England their only loss this season.
Tonight’s game should be a fun one with elite talent on both sides of the football. Join us in the comments here as we follow along.
