The 6-2 Baltimore Ravens entered Week 10 on the heels of defeating the previously undefeated New England Patriots to face the winless Cincinnati Bengals on the road.

The Ravens received the ball to start the game, and it didn’t take long for the league-s number-one scoring offense to find the end zone. Quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown for a 49-yard completion on the first play. Four plays later, Jackson found tight end Mark Andrews through the air for the two-yard score. It only took five plays for the Ravens to jump to a 7-0 lead.

Baltimore’s defense gave the ball back to Jackson after forcing a quick punt. This drive lasted longer (12 plays) but ended in another score for the offense, this time courtesy of running back Mark Ingram on a one-yard touchdown run. Jackson was on fire through the air. His longest pass on the second drive was a 35-yard completion to tight end Nick Boyle.

The Bengals offense had early success rushing the ball as they marched their way down on their second drive. The drive ended in a 42-yard field goal, however, making the score 14-3. Jackson and the offense went back to work with 75-yard scoring drive that lasted seven plays. Jackson hit Andrews once again for a touchdown, this time from 17-yards out. Cincinnati had no answer for Jackson and the Ravens passing attack early on.

Leading 21-3, the defense decided it wanted to join in on the fun with a touchdown of its own. On 1st-&-10 at Baltimore’s 15-yard line, cornerback Marcus Peters intercepted rookie quarterback Ryan Finley and returned it for an 89-yard touchdown and his third of the season.

The Bengals offense then responded with their first touchdown of the day. Finley connected with TE Tyler Eifert over the head of CB Brandon Carr for a six-yard touchdown, making the score 28-10.

The Ravens defense rebounded on the first drive of the second half by stopping Cincinnati on fourth down. SS Chuck Clark stripped the ball and Earl Thomas recovered it and returned it to Baltimore’s 36-yard line. It only took three plays for Jackson to find the end zone for third time, this time on a spectacular 47-yard run.

The Ravens defense gave the ball right back to the offense by forcing a turnover on downs. Once again, Jackson quickly found the end zone. On just the fourth play of the drive, Jackson found Brown for a 20-yard touchdown. With five minutes remaining in the third quarter, Baltimore led 42-10.

The scoring wasn’t over though, as the defense found the end zone for the second time of the day. On 3rd-&-6, defensive tackle Patrick Ricard walloped Finley, forcing a fumble that was recovered for a 33-yard touchdown by outside linebacker Tyus Bowser.

Quarterback Robert Griffin III took over for Jackson with a 49-10 lead in the fourth quarter. Aside from an interception to safety Jessie Bates III, Griffin ran the offense efficiently and was able to run the clock down. The Bengals were able to kick a field goal to make the final score 49-13.

Jackson finished his impressive day with a perfect passer rating, throwing for 223 yards and three touchdowns while rushing 65 yards and another touchdown, firmly cementing his status as a top MVP candidate. The Ravens remain the second seed in the AFC by improving to 7-2. They face the Houston Texans next week, led by fellow MVP candidate Deshaun Watson.
