Vontaze Burfict’s season is already over due to a suspension for repeated helmet-to-helmet hits this season, and with the way he talked in a recent interview, he may have killed off whatever was left of his career. Burfict spoke with The Athletic’s Vic Tafur for an interview that was published on Friday. In the interview, Burfict tried to distance himself from the actions of Myles Garrett on Thursday night. Burfict’s name came up because people referenced him when talking about the length of suspension Garrett might receive, and also because Burfict is the first name that comes to mind for many when thinking of “dirty” football players. In the interview, Burfict tried to distinguish himself from Garrett by saying his infractions are football plays, whereas Garrett’s was not.
