The Chiefs have released their inactive list for Sunday night’s game

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for their Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football.

if there was any doubt in your mind that 17th-year veteran Terrell Suggs — who joined the Chiefs after being waived by the Arizona Cardinals — would play, you can forget it. Suggs is active for the game.

All but two Chiefs players on Friday’s injury report had full practices on Friday, entering the weekend without injury designations. One of those was running back Damien Williams — who had missed three games after sustaining a rib injury against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11 — was likely to play, and that one healthy running back might be a healthy scratch. So veteran running back LeSean McCoy will rest his legs, while Spencer Ware and rookie Darwin Thompson will get snaps.

Rookie cornerback Rashad Fenton had been dealing with a hamstring injury, but practiced fully on both Thursday and Friday; he had no injury designation. So he counts officially as a healthy scratch, but one with an asterisk. Cornerback Alex Brown — elevated from the practice squad on December 5 — will play.

As expected, left guard Andrew Wylie and cornerback Morris Claiborne are inactive for Sunday night. Both were listed as out on Friday’s final injury report, even though in his remarks to the press earlier in on Friday afternoon, head coach Andy Reid had suggested Claiborne might be a gametime decision.

Wylie left last week’s game against the Denver Broncos with an ankle injury. Through the week, a shoulder injury and an illness have been listed as issues for him. He missed every practice of the team’s preparation for the Bears. It’s expected that Stefen Wisniewski will start the game in Wylie’s place.

Claiborne suffered a shoulder injury against the Oakland Raiders. He was a limited practice participant through all of the past week. With Sunday’s game, he will have missed three games. We’ll see if he can return in the regular-season finale at home against the Los Angeles Chargers.

For the Bears, wide receiver Taylor Gabriel and right tackle Bobby Massie had both been listed as out in Friday’s Bears injury report. Cornerback Prince Amukamara and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks were both listed as questionable on Friday. Amukamara will play, but Hicks will not.
