Wide receiver disputes reports that Beckham is ready to bolt Cleveland at the first opportunity.
It has been a typical week for the Cleveland Browns and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
First there were “rumblings” late last week that Beckham wants to get out of Cleveland as soon as possible. Then came a pair of reports from Fox Sports and Yahoo Sports that Beckham has spent the season asking opposing players and coaches to rescue him from the Browns.
Beckham shot down the idea that he is not happy last Friday on Twitter:
Ok ... I NEVER said I was not happy in Cleveland, just like everyone else I’m hopeful for better results. Period. Next story plzz ...

The veteran wide receiver declined to answer questions about his interactions with other players and coaches following Sunday’s win against the Cincinnati Bengals, leaving many to continue to speculate if the club’s biggest offseason acquisition in years would be one-and-done in Cleveland.
Enter wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
Asked about the situation on Thursday, Landry had no problem shooting down the speculation that is swirling around his teammate and best friend, according to Nate Ulrich at The Beacon Journal:
“I think he wants to be here. I know he wants to be here. It’s not even about trying to go somewhere else. I think for him, he’s been the leader. He’s a guy that comes to work every day. He’s a guy that’s playing through injuries and all the things that you want out of a player. And inside of this organization, he has a voice. He has responsibility to himself, to all of us to go out there and compete each and every Sunday. And he does that. So I don’t think — he doesn’t want to leave, and he’s not trying to leave.
“I don’t know [why these reports surface]. That’s a question for you guys [in the media]. I don’t write. I haven’t heard him say anything directly. So I don’t know how it could come out to be all that it is now. I’m sure he sees it, and it does take a toll in a sense to know that he’s putting his heart and soul into this season for this team, and everybody else is trying to make a story off of things that is not really going on.”
So, to summarize, there have been reports with unnamed sources saying that Beckham can’t wait to get out of Cleveland the second the season comes to an end.
On the other end, there is Beckham saying (well, Tweeting) that he is happy and Landry going on the record saying that Beckham wants to be with the team.
We’ll leave it up to Browns fans to decide which version of the story they believe has more credibility.
