Monday Night Football, Week 13. Tonight the Seattle Seahawks host the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC matchup. This game features two of the hottest teams and two of the hottest quarterbacks in the NFL
After getting off to a slow start at 2-2, the Vikings have caught fire, winning seven of their last eight games. Not coincidentally, quarterback Kirk Cousins has also caught fire, to the point where he is now, surprisingly, sitting atop the NFL passer rating rankings. Cousins has an amazing 21/3 touchdown to interception ratio. He is supported by running back Dalvin Cook, already over 1000 rushing yards on the season, and receiver Stephon Diggs, who will soon surpass 1000 yards receiving. Combine that offensive firepower with one of the better defenses in the NFL and you get a deep, balanced team that is fighting the Green Bay Packers for the NFC North crown.
The Seattle Seahawks also come into this game with a hot team and a hot quarterback. The Seahawks have also won seven of their last eight games. The Seahawks’ only two losses this year have come at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens and the New Orleans Saints, two of the best teams in the NFL. The Seahawks are led by superstar quarterback Russell Wilson, who trails only Cousins in the NFL passer rating rankings. At 24/3, Wilson’s touchdown to interception ratio is even better than Cousins’. The once formidable Seahawks defense has fallen on hard times of late, but with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, the Seahawks offense has picked up the slack.
It’s the Seahawks and the Vikings in a clash of two of the best teams in the NFL, a great prime time matchup tonight on Monday Night Football.
Enjoy the game everybody.
