It’s not great football, but it’s still football...
Tonight, the 5-7 Eagles could move into a tie for first place in the NFC East with a win over the 2-10 Giants. As shocking as that may sound, it is the truth. The NFC East has been that bad.
The division has not been good because all four teams have faced difficult schedules. The AFC East and the NFC North should both feature Wild Cards this season, but the Eagles have wins over the Bills, Packers, and Bears, and they have played the Seahawks and Patriots close. However, they have lost to the Falcons, Lions and Dolphins, who will not be playing football in January.
Will the Eagles continue to play down to their competition or can the Giants bring back some magic?
The Giants are starting Eli Manning for the first time since Week 2 after losing Daniel Jones to injury. It could be Manning’s final start playing for the Giants, so we could be witnesses to history tonight.
BRB, this is your Monday Night Football thread. Enjoy!
